Custom shapes and sizes for all installation areas
For an optimal, cost-effective use of existing production areas, the balloons can be produced in various sizes and shapes, such as spherical, cylindrical, angular or cushion forms,
depending on the spatial conditions. They range in volume from 0.5 m³ to 7,500 m³ (17 cubic feet to 265,000 cubic feet).
Furthermore, custom shapes can also be manufactured according to individual requirements.
All flexible tanks have the following advantages: they are lightweight in design and are easily inflated and deflated. This means that they can be quickly installed and removed.
Depending on the customer’s requirements, they are equipped with inflation and deflation connections. Clamping or screw-on flanges made of stainless steel or flexible connections made of gas
storage fabric are used.
Appropriate materials – special balloons for every type of gas
The storage balloons are manufactured from a very robust polyester fabric, which is coated with polyurethane on both sides. This fabric has a gas diffusion rate, measured with helium at 20 °C, of less than 1000 cm³ per m² in 24 h (70 cubic feet per 10 square feet per 24 h).
To guarantee proper storage of diverse gases, each gas bag is designed to handle a specific type of gas. In addition to other special safety measures, the balloon fabric used for gas storage balloons for hydrogen
is subjected to a special antistatic treatment. Balloons for the storage of helium have to be very gas-tight. CO2 storage balloons are made of a material approved for the food industry. The fabric for biogas storage balloons has to be extremely robust.
Secure anchoring on the ground using special tubular frames
In order to stand securely at the installation location, the balloons are suspended in a tubular frame. The tubular frames can optionally be suspended from the ceiling using steel cables or
fixed to the floor with supports. Installation is very simple and can easily be performed by any technician. An integrated safety mechanism protects the balloon effectively against unintended
overinflation. There are various methods available for measuring the fill level, such as wire-actuated encoders, ultrasonic and laser distance meters.
